VIBES MEDIA LAUNCHES iRadio™, THE FIRST TEXT MESSAGING PLATFORM FOR INTERACTIVE RADIO PROMOTIONS
Evanston, IL, January 26, 2004 – Vibes Media, a leading provider of interactive text message marketing programs, today announced the general availability of iRadio™ an Instant Response Text Messaging Platform for Radio promotions. Radio stations can now interact on a mass scale, yet personally with listeners using Vibes’ text messaging platform. Listeners participate in promotions and contests via the text message function on their cell phones from anywhere without getting shut out by busy signals. Everyone who sends a message receives a response, regardless of service provider. Vibes’ iRadio Platform allows program directors and on-air personalities to customize contests and promotions through Vibes’ OptimumAnalysis Tools, effectively tailoring promotions according to listener response in real time.
KTTB/B96 – “The Beat of the Twin Cities” launched the first text messaging based program using Vibes’ iRadio Platform this summer in Minneapolis. Listeners from around the Twin Cities sent text messages to B96 DJs from anywhere, anytime using any cell phone and instantly received personalized responses. Using the OptimumAnalysis Tools provided by Vibes, DJs customized their programs on the fly and created keywords for participants to text into the station, where DJs monitored in real-time all of the messages being received. On-air personalities even replied to individuals’ phones through an online interface. Whether setting up a “text request line,” or telling listeners to send keyword text messages to win concert tickets, Vibes’ iRadio can be used to link text messaging to almost any on-air promotion.
A large number of B/96 listeners use text messaging and iRadio allowed them to communicate directly with the station in their own language. Hearing directly from their target audience gave station managers insight into how programming was being received, what part of their promotions were working and which were not, and provided their sponsors a vehicle for extended interaction with their consumers. Vibes’ iRadio Platform is a powerful new programming tool that ads depth and intelligence to radio promotions.

Vibes’ iRadio Platform provides real-time OptimumAnalysis Tools for real time program reporting, and station program directors can make adjustments on-the-fly in order to maximize audience participation. OptimumAnalysis parameters include:
· Event/Daily Volume – Number of messages throughout the duration of the event/day; including messages per person, messages per day, per hour, per contest, etc.
· Time Tracker – Time of day messages were sent
· Participant Tracking – Records and tracks participants in real-time
· Single Event Breakdown – Measures promotions by number of people responding, messages sent per person, and displays all correspondence
· Follow Up Programs – Allows event organizers to begin replying to participants with open-ended trivia questions to increase consumer/brand interaction.
