D-Link Intros Bluetooth AP
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. -- D-Link, the leading manufacturer of networking solutions to the SOHO, SMB and Enterprise environments has launched a wireless access point for Bluetooth products. The DBT-900AP will allow laptops, palmtops and mobile phones equipped with Bluetooth to be linked up to the Internet or a local network without the need for connection through a mobile operator.
As important Bluetooth components fall in price, more and more products will be equipped with Bluetooth for wireless communication that will create a market for products like the DBT-900AP. As one of the market's leading suppliers of WLAN products, D-Link is now supplementing its range of products for wireless communication with Bluetooth products.
"DBT-900AP will make it possible for someone with a mobile phone or palmtop equipped with Bluetooth to do such things as read e-mail, synchronize calendars or use network printers without the need for connection through a mobile operator, making these tasks simpler and cheaper," commented Tahira Perveen, Sales Manager, D-Link, UK and Ireland.
Up to seven different Bluetooth units can be connected to the access point simultaneously. DBT-900AP performs as well in the home as at the office and in other public environments.
