Ericsson Blue Pages Launched as a Guide of Bluetooth Solutions Ericsson Technology Licensing announced their "Ericsson Blue Pages," the first guide available with a collected view of Bluetooth solutions for manufacturers of mobile phones, headsets and other accessories. This guide represents an overview of products and services offering the Ericsson Core Bluetooth solution.
This first issue of the Ericsson Blue Pages is targeted towards mobile phone and mobile phone accessory companies. Listed companies include Bluetooth leaders such as National Semiconductors, Philips Semiconductors, Samsung Electronics and STMicroelectronics.
The Ericsson Blue Pages goes further than just a listing of products in that it is a complete guide covering everything from hardware and software to qualification and testing. Available as of today both as a printed catalog version and via the Internet, manufacturers can easily find the supplier they need with a proven Bluetooth solution.
"From the very start, Ericsson has been the leading supplier of Bluetooth solutions to the mobile phone industry. In the beginning, the interest was primarily in hardware. Now, we are seeing an increased demand also in software and services," says Johan Åkesson, Vice President Marketing of Ericsson Technology Licensing. "Therefore, we find it important to compile all necessary parts of Bluetooth into the Ericsson Blue Pages. Since the catalog entails the most proven Bluetooth solutions available, we know we can offer mobile phone companies a faster way to market."
Both the searchable web version and the printed catalog will be free-of-charge and divided into easy-to-find areas: Baseband, Complete Segment Solutions, Development Tools, Interoperability Testing, Qualification Services, Radio, Single Chip Solutions, Software, Software Integration Services. The web version will be continuously updated while the printed version will be issued twice per year.
