MATAWAN, N.J., June 9 -- Open Terra, a leader in enterprise mobility enabling technology, has announced today that it is partnering with Novell (Nasdaq: NOVL - News) to deliver mobile and wireless business solutions to customers. Through this partnership, Open Terra will offer its mSolve(TM) Enterprise Mobility Suite solution using Novell technology to customers pursuing mobile business integration strategies.

Novell's SUSE LINUX and NetWare customers can now create powerful mission-critical mobile applications in minutes with Open Terra's feature rich mSolve Enterprise Mobility Suite. The mSolve suite provides a powerful and robust mobility framework for rapid application development and deployment that is always online and accessible with an Internet browser, allowing for seamless integration to all major databases, Web Services, Message Queuing (MQ) systems, Enterprise Java Beans (EJB), and existing business applications and logic. The mSolve Enterprise Mobility Suite is a complete mobility platform providing end-to-end wireless integration into multiple disparate business systems. For Novell customers using the XimianŽ Linux desktop environment, they will be able to easily and quickly build and deploy mobile applications using the built-in Mozilla-based web browser.

Dave Sasson, President, and CEO of Open Terra, said, "By partnering our technology capabilities with Novell's NetWare and Linux software and services, we can offer faster, less expensive solutions for our customers and help them take advantage of mobile business opportunities. Novell offers a complete enterprise solution for businesses, and we are pleased that our mSolve Enterprise Mobility Suite is now an integral offering."

"We are pleased to be working with Open Terra as they provide a cross-platform mobile software suite which is an excellent complement to Novell's products and services," said Chris Cooper, director of developer services for Novell. "Our customers are constantly exploring methods to increase productivity, while at the same time are looking for improved returns on their software investments. Open Terra's solution will help them meet those objectives."

Open Terra will also be one of the first companies to integrate the C# compiler from the Novell-sponsored Mono project for .NET integration from mobile devices into Linux and Windows backend systems. "Open Terra is pleased with the support that Novell continues to provide us, and by incorporating Mono components into our mSolve suite, customers will have a much lower cost of ownership (TCO) and higher ROI when implementing a mobile strategy," said Ted Bielenda, CTO of Open Terra.

Open Terra's mSolve Enterprise Mobility Suite enables businesses to dramatically reduce the time and costs associated with mobile application development and deployment. Designed on powerful JAVA technology, the mSolve Enterprise Mobility Suite can be hosted on virtually any hardware platform. Open Terra's mobile device-resident agents, built on powerful JAVA and .NET technologies, ensures that the mobile applications are portable across multiple mobile devices and that are operational in wirelessly connected or disconnected modes.
