NETWORKS IN MOTION ANNOUNCES LOCATION-BASED SERVICES EXTENSIONS FOR QUALCOMM’S BREW® SOLUTION

SAN DIEGO – June 8, 2004 – Networks In Motion™, a software solutions provider for mobile workforce management and Location-Based Services (LBS), is introducing its NAVBuilder suite of extensions developed for QUALCOMM’s BREW solution. The company will be showcasing the products at the BREW 2004 Developers Conference, Booth No. 23, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, June 7-9.

Designed to speed time to market and reduce design and development costs, Networks In Motion’s NAVBuilder extensions feature powerful location, mapping and direction capabilities that can easily be integrated into wireless applications supported by QUALCOMM’s QPoint™ location services solution and precision gpsOne™ location technology. The NAVBuilder extensions offer a cost-effective, flexible developer toolkit for commercial and consumer location-enabled applications, such as field service, CRM, fleet management, friend finders and location-enabled gaming.

“Our NAVBuilder BREW extensions provide a reliable LBS solution for the rapid delivery of a broad range of new wireless consumer and enterprise applications,” said Michael Sheha, president and COO of Networks In Motion. “We believe location-aware applications will become an integral part of every mobile user’s life, and are confident our BREW-based LBS extensions will help to enable this growing market.”

Networks In Motion's NAVBuilder extensions enable developers to integrate LBS-related features, such as maps, driving directions, and proximity searches, into their applications and business processes. NAVBuilder extensions also provide an extensive set of mapping-related content, such as business listings and points-of-interest. The powerful mapping technology delivers high-quality, full-color maps that can be panned or zoomed, and can support accurate turn-by-turn directions.

“QUALCOMM is pleased that Networks In Motion is developing innovative extensions designed to enhance the usability of BREW-based location services applications,” said Mike Yuen, director of BREW Developer Relations for QUALCOMM Internet Services. “Effectively managing mobile resources is critical to driving down costs for many businesses, and Networks In Motion’s NAVBuilder extensions offer BREW developers an innovative solution for seamlessly integrating gpsOne capabilities into their applications.”
