IN-FUSIO's NEW GAME ENGINE 'EGE' TO BE PORTED TO QUALCOMM's BREW(tm) SOLUTION
Bordeaux, France - March 17th, 2004 - IN-FUSIO, a leading games publisher and service provider for operators around the world, announced today that it is porting its ExEn Gaming Extensions (EGE) to QUALCOMM's BREW solution.
IN-FUSIO's EGE, which is already available for Java/MIDP2.0, delivers optimized gaming APIs for real-time multiplayer interactivity, enhanced 3D game play and vector-based animations, as well as additional functionality including 'recommend a game to a friend'. These combined features significantly enhance the community aspect of mobile gaming.
Launched in February at 3GSM 2004, EGE is the latest and most feature-rich incarnation of the proven mobile game platform ExEn. With more than 8.5 million unique registered players, ExEn has been delivering recurring revenue and true interactive game play for mobile operators across Europe and China for two years.
IN-FUSIO continues to expand its mobile game reach and remains focused on bringing new and exciting titles to the BREW solution. Following the successful porting and launch of 'The Terminator' last summer, IN-FUSIO recently launched a number of other BREW-based titles including: Golden Tee Golf, Elf Bowling, Rollerblade Challenge and Wall Breaker. Further titles will soon be added including Shado Fighter and a groundbreaking racing game using a 'ghost' car feature to enable head-to-head competition.
"We are delighted to port our new ExEn Gaming Extensions to the BREW system. IN-FUSIO sees the BREW solution as a key factor for our continued success in mobile games and we are thrilled to be working with QUALCOMM,"
said Gilles Raymond, co-CEO and President of IN-FUSIO.
"We're confident that IN-FUSIO's optimized gaming APIs for the BREW system will provide users with a truly dynamic gaming experience," said Jan Lezny, senior director, European Business Relations, QUALCOMM Internet Services.
"IN-FUSIO brings experience and capabilities in the wireless gaming space that will significantly enhance the BREW-based content offered to operators and their subscribers around the world. This relationship further demonstrates QUALCOMM's commitment to collaborate with key players throughout the industry to ensure the evolution and growth of wireless data worldwide."
