New Nokia 7610 imaging smartphone is based on Symbian OS

17 March 2004, London, UK – Symbian today announces that the new Nokia 7610 imaging smartphone is based on Symbian OS.

The 7610 is Nokia’s first megapixel camera phone and offers quick and convenient capturing, printing, storing and sending of photo-quality images and videos. Based on the Series 60 platform, the tri-band phone is expected to be available during Q2 2004 in two variants GSM 900/1800/1900 and GSM 850/1800/1900.

Symbian OS is the global industry standard operating system for advanced mobile phones and is licensed by the world’s leading handset manufacturers.
