J2X Technologies Inc. Launches J-Pod Toolkit 2.0
WATERLOO, Ontario--J2X Technologies Inc., a market-making mobile service and application company, this week launched J-Pod Toolkit 2.0 for Nokia Series 60 devices. The J-Pod Community-Building Toolkit enables developers to easily create multiplayer and community-based games from scratch or by "plugging" community features into their existing games. Series 60 is the world's leading smartphone platform, with millions of devices in the market ready for the deployment of quality mobile applications.
The J-Pod Community Building Toolkit is now available free of charge for Series 60 smartphones via http://www.j2x.ca/developer and comes with free technical support from J2X Technologies.
The Series 60 smartphone platform provides users with all the basic and advanced cellular phone functions in a compact device characterized by a large color screen, rich communications and enhanced applications.
The J-Pod Community Building Toolkit allows developers to easily enter the growing world of multiplayer gaming: J-Pod provides plug-and-play style libraries for both MIDP 1.0 and 2.0, free technical support, free hosting, and distribution through the J-Pod network of carrier customers around the world.

Nokia created the Series 60 Platform and licenses it to leading cell phone vendors Legend Group Limited (Lenovo), LG Electronics, Panasonic, Samsung, Sendo and Siemens, who together with Nokia make up nearly two-thirds of global cell phone sales. Series 60 devices feature large, high-resolution screens with up to 65,000 colors, at least 4MB of memory, and support thousands of software titles.
The J-Pod Community Building Toolkit provides features to games such as: chat, scoring, buddy list, multilplay, in-game subscription billing, invite-to-download, observer mode, contests, tournaments, online-to-wireless play and more.
