Networks in Motion Wins Wireless LBS Challenge

CTIA Wireless 2004, ATLANTA--Networks in Motion, a wireless software solutions provider for mobile workforce management and location-based services (LBS), won top honors for its AtlasBook(TM) and PhoneLocator(TM) solutions at the Wireless LBS Challenge presented by NAVTEQ, formerly Navigation Technologies, and SiRF Technology. The Challenge is being held in conjunction with the CTIA WIRELESS 2004 Conference being held at the Georgia World Congress in Atlanta March 22-24.

"We are very pleased to win this challenge and to have our latest wireless GPS-enabled LBS software solutions recognized," said Stephen Petilli, chairman and CEO of Networks In Motion. "We believe that LBS will be one of the fastest-growing applications for GPS-enabled phones, and AtlasBook and PhoneLocator provide mobile users with reliable, versatile solutions."

AtlasBook utilizes a cell phone's built-in GPS technology to deliver a full suite of tools including real-time turn-by-turn directions, full-color, high-quality maps of the user's location, and Yellow Pages to search for places nearby. Users can even logon to the AtlasBook Web site and store favorite places and trips that they can later retrieve from their phone. These features work together to simplify travel planning, save time on the road and make mobile life more productive. AtlasBook transforms a cell phone into a personal travel guide.

PhoneLocator is a simple way to keep track of a cell phone's location anytime, anywhere. From the PhoneLocator Web site, the phone can be located on a map and directions displayed to or from the phone's location, thereby enabling a heightened level of security and peace of mind.

"NAVTEQ is pleased to name Networks In Motion as the winner of our first Wireless LBS Challenge, and we want to congratulate them for delivering such compelling and exciting location-based services solutions," said Winston Guillory, senior vice president of North American Sales for NAVTEQ. "This event highlights the market demand for LBS products and services, as well as recognition by the wireless carriers of the value-add that these services bring to their customers."
