WirelessDevNet.com Press Release

Kayak Interactive and IOMO Partner to Create Dynamic, Mobile, Multiplayer Games

SAN JOSE, Calif. & PRINCETON, N.J.--March 25, 2004--Kayak Interactive, the company making multiplayer gaming a reality in the mobile entertainment industry, and IOMO, the company entertaining the mobile generation, today announced a partnership focused on increasing and expanding mobile, multiplayer gaming globally. IOMO will use Kayak products and services to develop and offer multiplayer versions of their games which will be delivered by Kayak to gamers globally. The crowd at Mobile GDC will be able to view the significant progress achieved in the partnership where they will watch a live, multiplayer tournament based on IOMO's Pub Pool, a number one hit title on games charts all over the world.

Kayak Interactive's platform allows players to compete directly against each other across different mobile network operators and handsets. To date, mobile games have been essentially single-player, with little or no ability for players to compete against each other during game play.

"Mobile, multiplayer gaming is expected to grow rapidly within the next twelve months and Kayak and IOMO are leading the way," says Andrew Maunder, CEO of Kayak Interactive. "Our partnership is an example of Kayak's commitment to working with leading developers to build great titles that deliver network-active game play. Pub Pool is already a compelling single player game with a multiplayer version using the Kayak platform on the way."

Kayak and IOMO will preview the new version of Pub Pool at Mobile GDC, Thursday, March 25, at the Fairmont Hotel, San Jose, California. Eight players will participate in a Tournament setting that pits them against each other in three rounds of competition. This first ever mobile, multiplayer gaming event demonstrates how Kayak's platform delivers network-active game play bringing new excitement to mobile gaming.

"The multiplayer capability from Kayak adds an entirely new dimension to the game play," says John Chasey, the managing director of IOMO. "Using the Kayak platform, we were able to create the multiplayer version of Pub Pool in record time and have it ready for Mobile GDC. I look forward to seeing a crowd of games experts competing with each other in a full blown tournament."
