Handango Announces People’s Choice Award Winners
HURST, Texas – March 31, 2003 – Today, Handango, the leading provider of mobile downloads, announced the winners of the Handango People’s Choice awards for the spring. The People’s Choice awards are bi-annual awards designed to honor the best mobile applications as chosen by customer votes. From September 30, 2003-March 30, 2004 Handango customers cast their votes for their favorite J2ME™, Symbian OS™, Palm OS® and Windows Mobile™ applications
The winners in each category are:

The developer of each winning application will receive $5,000 (USD) in marketing promotions as well as right to the title “The People’s Choice.”
“These applications meet the ultimate standard for any great product: customers love them!” said Randy Eisenman, president and chief executive office at Handango. “Congratulations to the winning developers on their outstanding achievement and their endorsement by thousands of customers.”
In order to vote, customers must register on Handango. Each person was limited to one vote per product. More than 50,000 J2ME, Symbian OS, Palm OS and Windows Mobile Pocket PC applications were eligible to receive votes. Voting was halted at midnight central standard time on Tuesday, March 30, 2004, so the results could be tabulated. Handango has reopened voting for Fall People's Choice awards. Winners will be announced September 30, 2004.
