Gemtek Systems and Aptilo Networks enter into a partnership for the professional public WLAN market
Amsterdam / Stockholm, March 31, 2004. Aptilo Network and Gemtek Systems,
two of the worlds leading manufacturers of PWLAN solutions for wireless
Internet service providers (WISPs), telecommunications companies and
mobile-phone operators have entered into a partnership in the market for
carrier class public WLAN solutions. Thanks to the full support of Gemtek
Systems´ access gateways and hotspot-in-a-box solutions and the Aptilo
Service Management Platform for managing and operating public Wireless LANs,
even extensive public WLAN networks can be managed completely and easily
from the carrier's network operation center.
The interoperability between Aptilo's management platform and Gemtek
Systems´ public access solutions encompasses all network management aspects,
as well as security, authentication, user administration and billing
systems. The scalability of the Gemtek Systems´ comprehensive product range,
which encompasses the highly integrated P-560 hotspot-in-a-box as well as
the leading G-6000 access gateway, and the Aptilo Service Management

between their components live at the Wireless LAN Event in London,
