Gamica launches international DoJa gaming portal on i-mode
Gamica has strengthened its mobile presence by launching their international DoJa gaming portal on i-mode, named Gamica Arena. Gamica Arena offers single and multi-player games that will be offered by operators in different markets around the world.
The Gamica Arena roll out kicked off by KPN Mobile with the successful Manapack games and the new highly anticipated Sumo Sumo action game. All games are available on both genuine i-mode and i-mode compatible handsets and offer additional services stimulated by i-mode's subscriber based business model, such as high scores, online player ghosts and the Manaland marketplace, in which subscribers of the Gamica Arena trade special tokens to unlock hidden features in other games.
"With this launch Gamica has positioned itself favorably on i-mode with a games portfolio that is considered second-to-none.", said Ferdy Blaset CEO of Gamica. "By cooperating closely with the i-mode operators we are preparing the launch of the Gamica Arena in the remaining markets. We are confident that this roll out will be a huge success and strengthens our position in the mobile gaming market."
Licensed by NTT DoCoMo, i-mode is a wireless mobile internet service offered in Asia by NTT DoCoMo of Japan and Far Eastone of Taiwan. In Europe the i-mode service is offered by E-Plus of Germany, KPN Mobile of The Netherlands, BASE of Belgium, Bouygues Telecom of France, Telefónica Móviles of Spain, WIND of Italy, and soon by COSMOTE of Greece.
