WirelessDevNet.com Press Release

SCOOBY-DOO AND THE GANG SET OUT ON ANOTHER MOBILE GAMING MYSTERY!

London, UK – Cartoon Network the world’s most widely distributed kids’ animation channel, and Macrospace, the global provider of mobile games and mobile gaming services, today announced the global launch of ‘Scooby-Doo 2 Dark Dungeons’, a fantastic adventure game for mobile phones.

‘Scooby-Doo 2 Dark Dungeons’ is the follow-up to the first fun-packed Scooby-Doo mobile game, ‘Scooby-Doo Castle Capers’. Scooby and his pals find themselves searching for hidden treasure in the dark and dingy dungeons underneath Ebdon Castle. Can they find the treasure, or will they fall prey to the hidden traps and scary spooks?

‘Scooby-Doo 2 Dark Dungeons’ features 14 levels of mind-bending puzzles and cool cartoon action. You get to play as both Scooby-Doo and his best pal Shaggy, with the ability to switch between characters at the press of the button. It’s a skill you’ll have to master, as plenty of the puzzles require more than one set of hands- or even paws!

“This marks our 12th mobile game release and we are encouraged by the success we have seen in the number of downloads of Cartoon Network mobile games worldwide,” said Mitch Lazar, Vice President of Wireless & Emerging Technology for Turner Broadcasting System International, Inc. “Our games are now available to subscribers of more than 50 operators in 30 countries and we are impressed that our world famous characters can make such a positive impact in this emerging business.”

“It’s great to see such well-loved characters as Scooby-Doo made into really fun and enjoyable mobile games. Scooby Doo 2 Dark Dungeons shows once again the quality and depth of games that are possible on today’s mobile phones, and I’m sure that Scooby-Doo fans will be looking forward to playing this great new title from Cartoon Network and Macrospace,” said John Ozimek, Head of Marketing and Communications at Macrospace.

Mobile games based on Cartoon Network characters are part of the Cartoon Network Mobile channel, which extends the globally recognised Cartoon Network brand into a widely deployed, interactive and fun mobile content universe for cartoon fans around the world. Macrospace and Cartoon Network have worked closely to produce Java, i-mode and BREW-specific versions of wireless games featuring Cartoon Network’s cast of characters.
