Irish software companies and global network operators come together to host Seminar in Dublin
Three Irish software developers specialising in mobile technology
development have come together with the assistance of Enterprise Ireland to
organise and important seminar for mobile network operators from all over
Europe. The seminar is in the new and exciting area of Parlay/OSA which is
an open standard which enables network operators to develop quickly,
innovative revenue generating applications that exploit the capabilities of
the existing networks.
The companies involved are involved in different segments of the mobile
software market. Alatto Technologies and Rococosoft will each will showcase
applications built upon Aepona’s Parlay/OSA platform. Alatto’s application
is a mass market music based application in the new area of ring tone
replacement while Rococosoft’s is focussed on the enterprise market.
The keynote address will be presented by Hugh Fletcher from network operator
Sprint. Speakers at the event also include Zygmunt Zolinksi who is President
of the Parlay Group and another perspective of an operator will be shared by
Eircom. Research in the area will also be presented from the OPIUM project.
The event is only open to Network Operators and press, and takes place at
the main offices of Enterprise Ireland at Merrion Hall, Sandymount, Dublin
on 20th May 2004.
