Two New Symbian OS phones announced today – Nokia 3230 And 7710


2 November 2004, London, UK – Symbian today announces that the Nokia 3230 and 7710 are based on Symbian OS™.

The Nokia 3230, a megapixel camera phone with video recording and editing, is the second Symbian OS product from Nokia Mobile Phones. Designed for the tech-savvy consumer who wants the latest features, it has a contemporary design and at 90cc is the smallest Symbian OS phone available. Shipments are expected to begin during the first quarter of 2005 in Europe and Asia. The unsubsidized retail price excluding taxes is expected to be around €350.

The powerful Nokia 7710 widescreen multimedia smartphone has pen input and handwriting recognition, full Internet browser, an integrated music player with stereo audio, and an extensive set of video features. It features a megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom, supports push email, and has a VPN client and free user memory of up to 90 MB plus 128 MB on the included MultiMediaCard. It is expected to ship in Asia and China in the fourth quarter, 2004 and in Europe and Africa in the first quarter, 2005.

Both phones are for GSM/GPRS/EDGE 900/1800/1900 networks.
