Preminet Solution From Nokia Adds Support for Handango Content
HELSINKI/HURST - November 3, 2004 - Nokia (NYSE:NOK), the global leader in mobility, and Handango, the leading provider of mobile downloads, today announced that Handango will be a key content provider through the Preminet Solution, making its best-in-class mobile content available as part of the end-to-end content distribution and transaction service for mobile network operators worldwide.
Designed to streamline the distribution process for innovative and fully certified mobile content and applications, Preminet consists of the Preminet Master Catalog, Preminet Service Delivery Platform and Preminet Purchasing Client, an innovative software application that makes it easy for end-users to discover, try and buy mobile software. Under terms of the new agreement, operators using the Preminet Purchasing Client can choose to complement the content offered in the Preminet Master Catalog with select content and applications from Handango's catalog of more than 11,000 Symbian OS(tm) and Java(tm) titles, including games, business applications, productivity titles, ringtones and more. Handango will optimize its data feeds to be compatible with the Purchasing Client and will also provide commerce services to those operators utilizing Handango's content through the client.
