XinLab Announces The Release of Its Java Mobile Media Processor
Fremont, Ca 12, November 2004 – XinLab, Inc. announces the release of its Java Mobile Media Processor (JMMP) to aid mobile service operators in their roll-out of value added services such as mobile messaging management solutions.
Used by mobile operators and content providers in value added service offerings such as media albums, video portals, and other media distribution platforms, Xinlab’s JMMP is a lightweight, high performance Java-based software package that efficiently processes 3GPP video files. It runs in all major JVM/J2EE environments and can be easily integrated in J2EE servers.
XinLab’s JMMP supports video transcoding such as converting from MP4 to 3GP or 3GP to MP4.
Additionally, JMMP facilitates server-side queries, processing and editing of mobile media such as 3GP and MP4 files. It can extract important media information such as frame images based on frame number, or key frames based on video scene change. Other features include video and audio editing and thumbnail generation.
