WirelessDevNet.com Press Release

Aramova Launches New Wifi Service Availability Solution

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- 11/15/2004 -- Aramova, Inc. (http://www.aramova.com), a pioneer in Intelligent Access Management solutions, announced the successful launch of its Hotspot Mapping Portal (HMP) Service. This next-generation Wifi directory service delivers better quality of results to end-users that are searching for hotspot locations. Users can quickly identify hotspot location based on various search criteria through a standard Web portal that is highly brandable and easy to use. The HMP service can also be tightly integrated with Aramova's MobileManager smart client solution to provide additional benefits such as off-line assistance for personal computing and mobile devices.

WISPs, network aggregators and service providers often spend a lot of time and resources in collecting and managing their hotspot information. If the information is incorrect for a particular hotspot, then end-users of the wireless service may never find the desired location, which in turn affects customer satisfaction and loyalty. With its patent-pending technology, Aramova has devised a unique approach to gathering and refining the hotspot information, more quickly and more accurately than the current breed of first generation directory solutions.

The HMP incorporates a rich set of mapping functions that allows end-users to zero in on hotspots, including precise details of location, type of venue, network status and information about adjacent hotspots. The search engine may be queried from a range of devices included mobile phones making it a powerful application for mobile users and travelers who want to quickly find Wifi services based on proximity, location or venue.

Among the first of its customers for the Aramova's HMP Service are Orange and Weroam. Aramova expects to announce several more in the coming months.

"Service providers want to get the most out of their Wifi investment," said Chris Langridge, VP Strategic Marketing of Aramova. "They need to provide maximum visibility of their new footprint both to prospective customers, who are looking to sign up for Wifi, and existing customers, who wish to use the service. Without accurate and timely service availability information, the end-user experience of Wifi will suffer and jeopardize the tremendous growth that the industry is beginning to witness."
