JP Mobile Offers SureWave Mobile Defense For The Enterprise on Samsung Devices

DALLAS, Nov. 17 -- JP Mobile(R) (http://www.jpmobile.com ), a leading provider of enterprise mobility software, today announced that its award-winning SureWave Mobile Defense software supports Samsung's PalmSource OS(R)-based i500 and Microsoft(R) Windows Mobile(TM)-based i700 Pocket PC Phone. The SureWave Mobile Defense Professional Edition, already available on Samsung's Microsoft(R) Windows Mobile(TM)-based i600 Smartphone, offers on- device security options for mobile professionals. Encryption, password control, device lock, bit wipe and device feature control are some of the integral features that will be offered via the Samsung devices.

"SureWave Mobile Defense offers feature rich security that is capable of providing mobile professionals with the security they need," said Peter Skarzynski, senior vice president of Samsung's wireless terminals division. "By deploying SureWave Mobile Defense, enterprise security policies can be extended beyond traditional corporate wired parameters to the mobile device."

SureWave Mobile Defense offers protection for corporate data residing on mobile devices, enabling IT departments to instantly and wirelessly deploy, update and enforce security policies on all wireless devices in use across the enterprise. Administrators have control over a wide range of security options including group settings, remote device wipe, remote device lock/unlock, remote password reset and selective file, database and application encryption. SureWave Mobile Defense also allows administrators to selectively disable or password protect wireless device features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, storage card, data transfer, application launch, camera, speaker and microphone.

"Enterprises have been reluctant to support mobile wireless applications due to the lack of security, and JP Mobile together with Samsung is addressing this critical concern," said Dayakar Puskoor, CEO and co-founder of JP Mobile. "SureWave Mobile Defense is intuitive, easy to use and provides a broad range of security options for the mobile professional as well as the enterprise."
