TomTom Announces Availability of Navigator 2004 For Microsoft Pocket PC And palmOne Platforms
CONCORD, Mass., Oct. 13 -- TomTom®, a leading provider of personal navigation systems, today announced TomTom Navigator 2004 based on based on Microsoft® Windows® Powered Pocket PCs and palmOne® platforms. With this launch, TomTom offers the industry's most comprehensive door-to-door personal navigation system with maps of the entire United States and Canada, as well as customizable points of interest (POI) categories, and an even more improved user interface.

TomTom Navigator offers a highly accurate digitized roadmap system that works in conjunction with extremely precise TomTom GPS receivers, both wired and self-powered Bluetooth, providing an efficient navigation tool for business and leisure travelers alike. TomTom Navigator uses very accurate and fully attributed turn-by-turn map data through a relationship with TeleAtlas, a worldwide leading provider of digital map databases and real-time traffic information in the United States. TomTom Navigator 2004 solutions will be available immediately from major retailers. The Bluetooth version, which includes the TomTom Navigator 2004 software, cabling, a Bluetooth GPS receiver, and maps of the entire United States and Canada retails for $299. The wired GPS version is offered at $249, and includes the TomTom Navigator 2004 software, cabling, wired GPS receiver, mounting kit, and maps of the entire United States and Canada.
