UBA Technology Makes Betting From Cell Phones Possible

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--Oct. 18, 2004--UBA Technology Inc. (Pink Sheets:UBTA.PK), a leading software development company, has released its Wireless Event-Trading platform, which will be packaged with its proprietary Betting Exchange software. UBA's Wireless Event-Trading platform, allows betters to use Java-enabled cell phones and PDA devices to place bets directly at the company's betting exchange site, located at www.ubetanything.com. Betting exchanges act as online intermediaries between individual bettors, allowing them to bet against each other, usually only taking a small commission from the winner.

"We believe cell phone gambling may turn out to be the real killer application for the latest generation of mobile phones. It will attract a new breed of gambler, including a younger, more upwardly mobile crowd," stated UBA president, Rob Danard. "Imagine watching live horse races on your cell phone while wagering in real time. Football fans for one team will be able to bet against opposition supporters seated on the other side of the stadium."

Cell phones make impulse betting easier, according to a global poll by Swedish mobile phone-maker Ericsson. "The stock exchange is also about gambling, and there are a surprising amount of young day traders," says Henrik Palsson, director of Ericsson ConsumerLab. "People with very similar profiles are interested in using these mobile betting services." The poll found that nearly 9% of Swedes said they would be interested in gambling over their cell phones, with even higher percentages among younger mobile users.

UBA's software is a turn-key solution providing cutting edge gaming technology and secure financial transactions over the internet. Rather than initially compete with the large UK-based betting exchanges, such as Betfair, which reportedly handles more than US$100 million in bets each week, UBA has adopted a Mini-Ubet exchange model to provide select event betting to licensees worldwide.

UBA will privately brand a betting exchange site to suit every licensees requirements. UBA, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Ubetanything.com, will provide all functionality and backend support to qualified licensees. The software is supported with secure online payment systems, database management, multiple currencies and languages, and customer service, for a complete solution. The individual licensees will be responsible for their own marketing in order to attract, build and maintain their client base.
