Siemens Presents Mobile E-mail Push Solution Over WLAN

At SYSTEMS 2004 in Munich, Siemens Communications for the first time demonstrated the WLAN functionality of its e-mail push solution "mobile office @vantage" on a variety of mobile devices such as the MDA III and the Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX 720. The e-mail push and PIM (Personal Information Manager) synchronization solution based on open standards can thus not only be used in all existing mobile networks, but also in networks incorporating WLAN technology.

With this solution, mobile operators or telecom service providers can offer enterprise customers secure mobile access to the intranet and internet for their employees. It can be integrated with ease into the IT environments of companies and operated independently by the latter. With mobile office @vantage, Siemens also provides comprehensive support - from the integration of the required software, the hardware in the backend, through to system integration - and, on request, will also operate the solution in its own computer center.
