PalmSource Ushers Wireless Innovation For Palm OS
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 20 -- PalmSource, Inc. (Nasdaq: PSRC - News) provider of Palm OSŪ, a leading operating system powering next-generation mobile devices and smartphones, today announced its second annual Euro DevCon set record attendance with over 400 Palm OS developers, international press and analysts, Palm OS licensees, strategic partners and industry leaders celebrating the wireless innovation achieved through the power, flexibility and ease-of-use of the Palm OS platform.

Hosted during Munich's internationally famous Oktoberfest, the two-day conference featured speakers from PalmSource including, David Nagel, president and CEO, and Larry Slotnick, chief products officer, Palm OS licensees palmOne and Tapwave, Palm Powered Mobile World partners Orange and RIM, and strategic partner IBM. In addition, Euro DevCon 2004 provided attendees with the latest Palm OS technical information for the creation of cutting-edge wireless products and software applications and uncovered new market opportunities to effectively market and sell Palm Powered products.
Ushering innovation in the European Palm OS developer community, PalmSource celebrated the winners of the 2004 Euro Powered Up Awards and showcased the launch of 13 new applications for Palm Powered smartphones and wireless handhelds, through the New and Notables program. These software applications are available for download and purchase direct from the developer in addition to the PalmSource software stores. Localized German Palm OS applications can be downloaded and purchased at software.palmsource.de and English versions are available at www.palmsource.com/software.
