Web Information Solutions' Pocket Informant Software To Be Pre-Installed on New HP iPAQ hx4700
AUSTIN, Texas--Sept. 1, 2004--The Pocket Informant 5.0 Personal Information Manager software package developed by Web Information Solutions Inc. will be pre-installed on all new HP iPAQ hx4700 series Pocket PCs. The HP iPAQs were introduced in July and are currently shipping. Pocket Informant improves the efficiency and visibility of calendar, contacts, tasks and appointment functions on handheld devices.
Web Information Solutions' flagship product, Pocket Informant, is a personal information management (PIM) software tool designed to equip the HP iPAQ hx4700 series Pocket PC with a single, built-in application that provides users the ability to view, customize and use data in ways that best fit their needs. The powerful HP iPAQ hx4700 Pocket PC includes a visually stunning four-inch VGA color screen, integrated wireless capabilities, enhanced security and dual-slot expansion, providing high-end features with versatile functionality in a sophisticated design. The HP iPAQ hx4700 series is also the first Pocket PC to offer a touchpad with a mouse-like cursor, making navigation simple and convenient. The four-inch VGA screen allows for easier viewing of business presentations, improving productivity both in and out of the office. Integrated WLAN 802.11b (Wi-Fi) enables high-speed wireless access to the Internet, e-mail and corporate data, while Bluetooth(TM) technology allows wireless communication with other Bluetooth devices.
