Snocone Systems Inc. Announces Initial Foray Into The Wireless Sports & Entertainment Arena
VANCOUVER, British Columbia--Sept. 2, 2004--Snocone Systems Inc. (OTCBB:SCOS) ("Snocone or the Company"), an innovator of wireless solutions, is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement to acquire SMS Office Pools, a complete real-time sports and entertainment wireless web service located at http://www.smsofficepools.com, whose customer base includes individual fans, "poolies", corporate entities, telecommunication companies and sponsors. Snocone currently has a Content Distribution and Revenue Share Agreement with SMSOfficePools.
Wireless web services allow people to access the Internet, receive messages, view color pictures, download ringtones, shop and play games on their cell phones.
In exchange for a flat monthly fee, users can access the SMSOfficePools.com service which includes professional football, auto racing and hockey pools, real-time SMS scoring alerts, and mobile access to pool standings. Corporate customers can pay to have a custom pool integrated directly into their own web site. Sponsors can purchase ad space on both the HTML and mobile side of the SMSOfficePools.com site to take advantage of the large, captive users who typically log onto the site daily to check stats.
This service differentiates itself from other fantasy pool services by analyzing and sorting data in real time thus making it that much more exciting for players to see their stats updating as points are being scored.
In addition to the current revenue model, SMSOfficePools.com also has plans to create new revenue streams which include the sale of sports merchandise via the computer or mobile phone browser, ringtone and wallpaper downloads, and cell phone upgrades.
