EarthSearch Communications Powers Vehicle Location Device for Volkswagen , S.A.
ATLANTA, GA., September 13, 2004 -- On track to become the fastest growing global provider of LBS technology products, Atlanta-based EarthSearch Communications (ESC) has landed a major contract to provide Volkswagen with VolksTrack , a location based tracking solution powered by EarthSearch. VolksTrack will be installed on all Volkswagen models manufactured in and imported to Brazil . “We are projecting a first year operating revenue of about $50 million from this agreement” said Chairman and CEO Kayode Aladesuyi.
VolksTrack powered by EarthSearch will be offered as a standard option on all vehicles sold at the 550 Volkswagen dealerships in Brazil , including used cars. Integration of VolksTrack product into the manufacturing line is expected in the near future. Full installation training will be provided to all Volkswagen dealerships in Brazil by ESC. The first VolksTrack order is scheduled to arrive at dealerships and be available to consumers by November 1, 2004
