Volantis Boosts Mobile Delivery With Launch of Managed Services for Content Providers

The first customers are leading content providers FT.com, eBay.co.uk, and Emap.
Volantis also today announced its first Turn-Key Managed Service - for Downloads and Newsfeeds – which can be implemented within 6 weeks.
Volantis Managed Services enable mobile content providers to rapidly deploy any mobile service to multiple mobile network operators at low risk and cost. The Managed Services include the design, development and management of the mobile service and is built on an industry leading technology platform which is hosted 24/7 with dedicated hardware and software deployed in a secure environment.
The sophistication of the mobile services can range from straightforward newsfeeds, ringtone, wallpaper, Java and multi-media downloads, to fully interactive, highly graphical bespoke applications with advanced user management and “closed loop” mobile services that seamlessly integrate mobile messaging and browsing.
Subscribers experience the highest quality service that their mobile phone can support via Volantis Multi-Channel Server which intelligently adapts content to exploit the full capabilities of over 1,000 mobile devices.
Integration with mobile network operators is included in the Managed Services, as well as the management of the complexity of operators’ varied billing systems, brand guidelines and technical protocols. Integration with third party billing systems is also provided.
