TechnoCom Announces VeoLocation Service Platform, Wireless Location Data Solution
LOS ANGELES--Sept. 23, 2004--TechnoCom, the leading provider of wireless location Operations Support System (OSS) and Business Support System (BSS) solutions, announces the introduction of its
VeoLocation(TM) Platform, a new wireless location data solution.
TechnoCom's VeoLocation platform was launched today in full commercial operation as a private labeled solution offered by one of the largest and most successful CDMA wireless operators in Latin America. This is the first end-to-end CDMA2000 1X fleet management location service to be offered directly by a CDMA operator in Latin America. TechnoCom is the operator's exclusive supplier of the wireless location data platform.
The VeoLocation platform provides wireless operators, insurance firms and security companies with an end-to-end, wireless location data solution targeting the fleet management, stolen vehicle recovery, security and risk mitigation services markets.
VeoLocation is a hosted, web-based solution designed to minimize operational and installation complexities to allow operators to quickly offer location based revenue generating services under their own brand names. Its mapping technology features a high performance, real-time mapping engine, report generator, and intuitive monitoring interface for managing fleet and consumer location solutions. The software supports both customer and third party security monitoring.
Additionally, a wide range of GPS (Global Positioning System) location mobile device options are available with VeoLocation, which can be configured across all wireless networks, including CDMA2000 1X, GSM/GPRS and iDEN(TM) networks. The devices support over-the-air programming, a sophisticated on-board alerting engine and assured data delivery. The VeoLocation hosted
platform is scalable so as to easily accommodate growth in subscriber base and service usage.
