TOKYO, Japan / NEWARK, CA, USA / OBERHAUSEN, Germany - April 5, 2005 -
ACCESS Co., Ltd., (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 4813), a global provider of mobile
content delivery and Internet access technologies, announced that its
ACCESS' NetFront(r) Mobile Content Viewer has been included in Adobe(r)
GoLive(r) CS 2 professional Web development software. NetFront Mobile
Content Viewer provides Adobe GoLive CS 2 users with a seamless preview and
test environment that facilitates the production of advanced mobile content
and services for developers targeting ACCESS' NetFront browser. NetFront
Mobile Content Viewer will initially be available for the Microsoft(r)
Windows(r) version of Adobe GoLive CS 2.
Available as a stand-alone software application or as a component of the
Adobe Creative Suite 2, Adobe GoLive CS 2 is a powerful authoring tool for
Web and mobile content that allows Web designers and developers to create,
publish, manage, and update content for the latest generation of handheld
devices. NetFront Mobile Content Viewer extends this production environment
by enabling Web designers to preview and test mobile content directly within
GoLive CS 2, reducing development time and speeding time-to-market.
NetFront Mobile Content Viewer provides a complete Windows 2000/Windows
XP-based previewing and testing environment that accurately emulates the
NetFront browser. It supports a broad set of Internet standards including
OMA Browsing 2.2, WML, HTML 4.01, XHTML 1.1 (including Mobile Profile),
CHTML, CSS1 and 2 (partial), ECMA Script 3rd edition, DOM level 1 and 2,
DHTML (partial), SSL3/TLS1.0 and more. NetFront Mobile Content Viewer can
emulate handset screen sizes at 120 x 160 and 240 x 320 pixels with its
included handset skins, and it supports various display modes including Full
Page, Just-Fit and Smart-Fit Rendering(tm) an advanced proprietary rendering
technology that intelligently reconfigures full Web pages to fit the narrow
screens of mobile devices. NetFront Mobile Content Viewer supports advanced
mobile Internet standards like SMIL (Synchronized Multimedia Integration
Language) and SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics).
"Adobe GoLive CS 2 is at the leading edge of cross-media content authoring,
eliminating the gap between what can be delivered on the Web and what can be
authored for mobile devices," said John Brennan, senior vice president of
Creative Professional products at Adobe. "The ACCESS NetFront Mobile Content
Viewer provides GoLive CS 2 users with an excellent preview and test
solution for targeting the millions of mobile devices powered by ACCESS' Net
Front browser."
"We're extremely pleased that NetFront Mobile Content Viewer was selected as
one of the key mobile Web development technologies to be included in Adobe
GoLive CS 2," said Toru Arakawa, president and CEO of ACCESS Co., Ltd. "Our
