Legion Interactive Signs Mobile Content Agreement With Warner Music Australia

In a move that provides the latest in branded mobile content while actively promoting responsible downloading of music, Legion Interactive recently signed a major mobile content licensing agreement with Warner Music Australia, providing access to Warner Music Australia artists and branded content.

With over 16.5 million mobile handsets in Australia, corporates are increasingly seizing the opportunity to utilise the mobile phone to extend brand association. Legion is leading the way in this area and the recent agreement with Warner Music Australia adds another exciting stream to Legion’s exceptional mobile content offering.

“Leveraging brand presence through the mobile device is all about delivering content straight into people’s pockets, encouraging consumer interaction with brands and as an expression of people’s personalities,” said Steven Watson, General Manager, Legion Interactive’s Portals, Content and Entertainment Group.

“With the mobile phone becoming an increasingly important entertainment device for consumers, the boundaries between ringtones and music are narrowing and, it is common knowledge that in many cases, mobile ringtones are outstripping CD single sales. Legion is committed to providing the latest advances in mobile content in a responsible and controlled manner through BlueSkyFrog.com as well as meeting consumer demand for specific content. We are delighted to have embarked on a relationship with Warner Music Australia,” said Steven.

“The distribution of Warner Music Australia content via BlueSkyFrog.com wireless channels is a great opportunity for us to get music into the hands of music lovers anytime and anywhere. Often we release our Ringtones prior to the release of the CD which both helps to build excitement around a new release as well as open new revenue streams for our artists”, said Jon Simon, VP Digital Media, Warner Music Australia and Asia Pacific.

Legion currently offers True Tones from the following Warner Music Australia artists; Simple Plan, R.E.M, K.D.Lang, Green Day and Thirsty Merc. Warner Music Australia will be releasing new True Tones every week via BlueSkyFrog.com’s numerous channels. There will be a range of chart topping True Tones plus classic True Tones.
