Mobile Multiplayer Tournament Texas Hold'em Goes Live On Your Cell Phone at MauiTexasHoldem.com


Maui, Hawaii April 19, 2005 -- Capitalizing on the popularity of online tournament Texas Hold'em poker, Mobile Pioneer, Inc. today announced the first release of its mobile multiplayer tournament poker portal. Powered by the Maui Texas Hold'em mobile client, the mobile portal offers free-play limit and no-limit Texas Hold'em poker tournaments on cell phones.

Research shows that scheduled tournament play accounts for more than half of online poker players. Maui Texas Hold'em introduces scheduled tournament play to the mobile world.

Maui Texas Hold'em tournament registration is fast and easy, using the player's cell phone. Players can choose to be notified by wireless email 10 minutes before the start of the tournament. Blinds are raised periodically to ensure fast action. Depending on the tournament configuration, the last two or three players at the final table are the winners. Tournament scores, as well as tournament leaders, can be retrieved using the mobile handset.

Maui Texas Hold'em also supports multiplayer limit and no-limit ring games. Up to 8 players can be seated at a table.

In addition to live multiplayer action, the Maui Texas Hold'em client software includes a powerful "shootout" format tournament for off-network play. Up to seven computer-controlled players provide challenging action. A special training mode shows preflop, draw, and pot odds to aid in player learning.

Maui Texas Hold'em client software is available for dozens of handset models, including Nokia, Samsung, Sanyo, Sony, Motorola, and Toshiba. New clients are made available on a regular basis.

The Maui Texas Hold'em mobile poker server can be integrated with online poker services to complement their gaming portfolio. Mobile Pioneer, Inc. is actively seeking strategic partnerships with online poker operators.
