Smart Box Design Launches Word Watch Game for Palm OS

SEATTLE, WA, - Smart Box Design, developer of high-quality games for PDAs and smartphones, announces the release of Word Watch, an entertaining word jumble game for Palm Powered mobile devices that pits the player against the clock in a race to unscramble words before the Word Watch winds down. Word Watch offers distinctive game play with added bonus rounds that give players another chance to unscramble words and advance. Word Watch is the second in Smart Box Design's series of entertaining word games for handhelds.

"I love word games, and I try every one I can get my hands on. I can honestly say that Word Watch is my favorite word game ever," says Jan Galbraith, Deputy Editor of Palm Addict, a popular online resource for information and reviews of Palm OS devices and applications. "I would probably even go so far as to say that it is my favorite game ever, in any category! The minute I started playing, I was hooked, and I have been addicted ever since! I can't imagine ever getting tired of it."

Those who enjoy word games such as Boggle and Scrabble, not to mention Smart Box Design's WordPop! game, will find Word Watch an addictive new part of their PDA game collection. Players of Word Watch are challenged to unscramble words before the allotted 75 seconds expires. The game presents one series of scrambled letters at a time and players must create the longest word they can find before time runs out in order to advance to the next round. However, Word Watch offers a unique twist: all unused letters go into a row of "red letters" which can be removed during bonus rounds. The game is over when the player receives their eighth red tiles.

For those seeking a more relaxing game, Word Watch also offers an untimed game and practice rounds. Other features of this game include 18 levels of difficulty, a word list with over 50,000 entries, and both strategy tips and a special interface to help the players succeed at the game. As with all Smart Box Design games, great detail has been put into the interface, graphics and sound effects.

Smart Box Design's word games are designed for players of all ages and skill levels. The breadth of the games' word list allows players to push the limits of their vocabularies and creates an excellent educational tool for parents and educators.

"Word Watch's engaging art, driving sound, and rich game play represent Smart Box Design's next level of quality," says Todd Sherman, President of Smart Box Design. "Casual game players, especially those that enjoy word or strategy games will love Word Watch."

Detailed information about Word Watch and a trial version are available at www.smartboxdesign.com/wordwatch.html. Word Watch is available for $14.95
