Xobile Delivers First Super High Speed Adult Content Via 3G Networks
CHARLOTTE – (August 4, 2005) – Xobile, the world leader in the distribution of adult movies on mobile phones and wireless devices, has succeeded in delivering super high speed adult content to Third Generation (3G) network consumers who use standard Internet browsers on their mobile device.
Xobile, which provides two-minute film clips excerpted from more than 4,800 adult movies, has succeeded in consistently streaming its videos at 124 kilobits per second, which is near the limit most wireless networks today use at their current capability level.

Mr. Kaplan noted that 3G phones handle much higher speeds than typical GPRS phones. “We’re keeping pace with the highest speeds at which American telecommunication networks are providing service to their customers,” he said, adding that further information will be available at the company’s booth (#511) at Internext Summer 2005, August 5-7 in Hollywood, Florida, Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa.
“We believe that video content delivered over mobile devices is in its infancy and it will grow rapidly,” according to Mr. Kaplan. “Just as the adult sector has led the way in advancing so many new technologies – from the VCR and DVD to subscription-based Internet sites – it is also the early adopter in mobile video, and we are leading the way.”
Mr. Kaplan noted that the proliferation of 3G phones that can receive streaming video and multimedia content is growing rapidly as the new wireless standard promises increased capacity and high-speed data applications up to 2.4 megabits per second. By 2009, according to Visiongain, 3G penetration will reach 88 percent of the world. The global market for adult content on wireless networks, which accounted for $611 million 2004 and will be worth $875 million by yearend 2005, is projected to grow to $2 billion by 2009, according to Visiongain.
