DOOM RPG Wins "Mobile Phone Game of the Year" Award
LOS ANGELES -- Global wireless entertainment publisher JAMDAT Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ: JMDT) announced today that id Software's popular title DOOM RPG(TM) has been named "Mobile Phone Game of the Year" at the 2005 Digital Entertainment & Media Excellence (DEMX) Awards, presented yesterday evening at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. DOOM RPG was co-developed by Fountainhead Entertainment and id Software, and is published by JAMDAT Mobile.

The 2005 DEMX Awards included 30 market-leading categories honoring innovation and entrepreneurship in digital music, film, games and marketing. Judges were comprised of an elite group of industry executives and leaders hand picked from the digital entertainment industry, representing the creative community, major entertainment companies, academic institutions and the media.
The DEMX Awards were presented at the awards dinner as part of the DEMXPO, a comprehensive digital entertainment and media event, which represented all sides of the industry such as digital TV and video, digital music, advertising, gaming and wireless.
DOOM RPG is a new take on id Software's world-renowned DOOM franchise. The game preserves the look, feel and excitement of the original DOOM(R) game, while integrating a tactical, turn-based combat system for easy to learn one-handed gaming.
