Digital Chocolate Receives Forum Nokia Pro Award For 'Wordking Poker' Mobile
HELSINKI, FINLAND and SAN MATEO, CA, USA, December 7, 2005 - Digital Chocolate, Inc., a leading publisher of software for mobile phones, has been awarded a Forum Nokia PRO Award for its mobile game WordKing Poker. The Forum Nokia PRO Awards 2005 recognize outstanding achievement among members of Nokia's advanced developer support program, Forum Nokia PRO. The awards are presented to developers who exemplify "best practices" and who have made significant contributions to driving innovation in the mobility industry.
The Forum Nokia PRO Awards feature seven categories that are designed to broaden awareness of the most innovative and successful work in the mobile solutions and applications field today. Digital Chocolate's WordKing Poker received the award in the Games/Entertainment category for Nokia Series 40 handsets. The winners were selected by an independent panel of mobile industry journalists and analysts from around the world.
Digital Chocolate's WordKing Poker is a mobile game that combines spelling competition with the fast-paced action of poker. Players compete to out-spell opponents using the lettered cards in their hand. The game allows players to compete against friends in four-player hot seat mode or up to six computer opponents. Players can also post their scores against others on Digital Chocolate's exclusive online Mobile League.
With a dictionary of over 50,000 words and three game modes - Hold 'em, Five Card Draw and Seven Card Stud - WordKing Poker is the most complete game of its type. WordKing Poker is available through Digital Chocolate's carrier and reseller partners worldwide.
