Digia®Quality Kit to support new features of the Series 60 Platform 3rd Edition
Press release, Helsinki, Cannes, February 14th, 2005 -- Digia Inc. (Digia), a global market leader in Series 60 and Symbian™ OS based software integration services and solutions for smartphones, announced today the availability of Digia®Quality Kit for Series 60 Platform 3rd Edition that Nokia introduced today at 3GSM World Congress 2005.
The announced new edition support by Digia will bring the easiness of testing and measuring of Series 60 software development and integration to a completely new level, by enabling the Series 60 licensees to take full advantage of Digia®Quality Kit in their latest and upcoming phone platform development programs.
The new version of the Digia®Quality Kit is targeted towards smartphone manufacturers utilising Series 60 Platform in their product creation and hence strongly supports Series 60 offering. The new version of the Digia®Quality Kit will fully support the latest Symbian OS and Series 60 3rd Edition related platform security modifications, EKA2 as well as the scalable UI.
Digia's platform support aims at providing the Series 60 licensees and their development partners with a reliable and widely accepted tool for their upcoming product development; enabling better controllability of project, uniform development practices and, of course, the ability to create automated testing environments. This will result in strong productivity gains for all types of smartphone software creation and project development based on the new edition of the Series 60 Platform.
