Aruba Wireless Networks Chooses Azimuth Test Solution
ACTON, MA- February 15, 2005 - Azimuth Systems, Inc., innovators in scalable, automated wireless network test systems, today announced that Aruba Wireless Networks (Aruba) has selected the Azimuth W-Series test platform to perform system-level testing of the company’s enterprise mobility products, including high-performance WLAN switches and grid controller systems. Aruba markets and manufactures a complete line of network mobility and security systems.
“Aruba’s centralized approach to building, securing and managing wireless LANs requires that our products meet the highest standards for both security and performance,” said Keerti Melkote, co-founder and vice president of marketing of Aruba Wireless Systems. “We chose the Azimuth test solution because it is the only product on the market today that provides an automated test environment designed to test wireless devices and networks for real world performance in a laboratory, while delivering scalable, repeatable results.”
“Adding a strong customer like Aruba to our growing client list further validates the need for an industry-standard wireless data test solution,” said Ray Cronin, CEO of Azimuth. “Aruba has proven itself to be a pioneer in next generation enterprise mobility systems, and we look forward to continuing to work with them to further the advancement of the wireless industry.”
“Aruba has recently participated in a number of industry benchmarking tests,” said Melkote. “We are very pleased with Aruba’s performance in these tests and believe that our success is related to our use of the Azimuth W-Series in the product testing process.”
The Azimuth W-Series is the industry’s first standardized test platform for system level testing of 802.11 wireless access points, clients and other devices. Designed from the ground up as an off-the-shelf, wireless LAN test platform, W-Series systems provide the ability to configure an entire WLAN network in a bench top chassis designed for complete Radio Frequency (RF) isolation and control. The flexibility and programmability of the W-Series allows for the thorough evaluation of wireless LAN equipment under varying mobility conditions and traffic patterns, as well as precise analysis of the results. The system offers an ideal environment to perform software design validation and to test advanced wireless functionality and performance including the latest IEEE standards.
