WirelessDevNet.com Press Release

Sports Illustrated and Summus Launch Cross-Carrier Storefront to Sell Swimsuit Content Directly

RALEIGH, N.C.-- Feb. 15, 2005 -- Consumers Can Now Personalize Their Mobile Phone with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Photographs Through Purchases from Summus' Mobile Storefront

Summus, Inc. (USA) (OTCBB: SUMU), a leading provider of mobile media applications that optimize the consumer wireless experience, today announced that it has launched a cross-carrier mobile storefront to deliver photographs from the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit collection to the mobile phone. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photographs are available immediately from SI.com/wallpaper to customers with one of 76 mobile phones initially available through three major GSM wireless carriers (with additional carriers and phone models being added in the future).

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit mobile storefront will enable visitors to purchase photos of their favorite swimsuit models to save on the handset display of their mobile phone. The website displays the photos in the form of a swimsuit calendar and features a different swimsuit model for each month of 2005. Visitors to the site can choose photographs from current or previous months. Consumers can also view and purchase photos from the actual 2005 Swimsuit issue and the cover shot, in addition to photos that were the best and most widely purchased in 2004. Special feature content will be offered for limited periods throughout the year.

Visitors to the site can purchase the photographs for $2.00 per download. They simply select their phone model from the list and the purchase will appear on the monthly bill from their wireless carrier. Summus has developed the SI mobile storefront in conjunction with m-Qube, a leading enabler of mobile content and applications. m-Qube helps companies build a mobile channel by providing a single source for cross-carrier delivery, content management, billing and settlement to allow brands to offer their consumers a wide variety of mobile products including music, images, messaging, games and other mobile applications.

The 2005 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit content suite is the second version of a product that was launched successfully in 2004. The first version of the content, the 2004 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Calendar, has been Summus' most successful mobile product to date. In total, the content suite generated over 1.5 million downloaded wallpaper images since the initial launch in March, 2004.

"The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit mobile storefront offers a great new way for our users to purchase swimsuit content for their mobile phone," said Gordon McLeod, President of SI.com. "Our users like to search and purchase items directly from the web, and the Summus platform enables them to access and purchase our swimsuit content very easily."

"The SI Swimsuit mobile storefront expands our distribution and creates a new revenue source for Summus and our carrier and content partners," said Gary Ban, CEO of Summus. "This venue allows for direct contact with the consumer mass market. SI.com receives a tremendous amount of traffic during the launch of the Swimsuit Issue, and the consumer storefront allows us to take advantage of that volume by driving consumers directly to a website where the photographs can be purchased."
