NeoMedia Introduces Newest 'Go Window' for Nokia Series 60 Cell Phones


FT. MYERS, Fla.-- Jan. 6, 2005 -- NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: NEOM), today further expanded its PaperClick(R) Mobile Marketing Services with the addition of a PaperClick Mobile Go Window(TM) for Nokia(R) Series 60 cell phones and other cell phones which use Series 60 software.

The fifth Go Window from NeoMedia, it runs on the Sendo(R) X, Panasonic(R) X700 and Siemens(R) SX-1, as well Nokia Series 60 phones and other cell phones using Series 60 software.

NeoMedia also provides Go Window capability for the Palm OS(TM), Microsoft PocketPC(R), Microsoft SmartPhone(R) and JAVA MIDP 2.0 environments.

NeoMedia's Mobile Go Window is a horizontal text-entry bar on the screen of a cell phone, SmartPhone, PDA or other Web-enabled wireless device where users can enter PaperClick-registered words, phrases or numeric strings from UPC or other barcodes and link directly to targeted online information, pricing and product buying services from product manufacturers and marketers.

Covering the Mobile Marketing Bases
Along with the Go Window for mobile devices, NeoMedia lets brand managers and mobile marketers create a link between their customers and their content with camera cell phones, creating mobile campaigns and promotions for many packaged products. Camera phone users can either "take a picture" of a specially-created two-dimensional PaperClick codes placed on packages, literature, ads, posters, etc., or "snap a photo" of popular barcodes (UPC, EAN, JAN, ISBN) with SymbianOS(TM)-based phones or wireless devices.

Services available to brand managers and mobile marketers include:

  • Word Activation, with marketers registering brand names or tag lines in the PaperClick WordRegistry(TM) created by NeoMedia and Fortune(R) 500 innovator SAIC, originator of Internet domain registration. Registered words or tag lines can be entered in the PaperClick Mobile Go Window, a horizontal text-entry bar on the screen of a wireless device, to link to content from marketers.

  • Created "PaperClick Code" Activation, with two-dimensional codes created and placed on packages, literature, ads, posters, etc., provides a one-click link to marketers' content via popular SymbianOS-based devices, such as Nokia Series 60 mobile phones;

  • Existing Code Activation, with the ability to use a SymbianOS-based camera phones to "take a picture" of already-in-the-market UPC, EAN, JAN and ISBN codes to link to content from marketers.

    Back office software and services are also available from NeoMedia.
