Navicom Begins Shipping GPS Units to Nationwide Retailers and Distributors
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Jan. 13 -- NowAuto, Inc.
(OTC: NWAU) announced today that it has begun shipping Navicom GPS tracking
units to distributors and retailers across the US. Navicom has recently
changed its sales model to become a supplier to distributors and retailers
rather than direct sales. This strategy should significantly increase sales,
lower costs, and generate greater monthly service fees. The program is
expected to increase Navicom's subscriber base significantly in 2005.
Navicom creates satellite maps on the Internet to show the vehicle within
a five-foot range giving latitude, longitude, address, speed, direction, date
and time. Using the Internet and GPS technology powered by Navicom,
subscribes can access their vehicles in 98% of the US, Canada, and Mexico.
The integrated functionality of Navicom includes immediate location, speed,
direction, geo-fence notification, unlock/lock door, enable/disable starter,
and many other features.
Navicom has recently created new point of sale (POS) display material.
The new Navicom material ranges from a simple counter stand to a full-size (6
foot x 4 foot) floor display. New and updated brochures have been created for
distributors as well as a new website, http://www.NowGPS.com. The marketing
material focuses on the benefits of Navicom and the superior capability over
the competition.
Scott Miller states, "We expect Navicom to compete head-to-head with
LoJack and OnStar. If you visit our website at http://www.nowgps.com/ you can
compare our technology to theirs and see why we believe that Navicom is one of
the best products on the market. We have just shipped our first orders to our
new distributors in the Midwest and are starting to ram up our advertising
efforts. Navicom now has excellent distributors throughout the Midwest and is
constantly receiving new applications across North America which we will
continue to review.
NowAuto, Inc. also announced last week that its wholly owned subsidiary,
Navicom, will participate in the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction from January 25-
30. The show is expected to bring over 185,000 attendees over the 5-day
period. Navicom will demonstrate its installed and portable GPS unit at the
show. Navicom has created extensive marketing materials showing the advantages
of its system over the competition. These advantages include lower price,
larger range, more functionality, and an Internet-based system for subscribers
to track vehicles online.
