ACCESS Announces NetFront v3.3 Internet Browser Engine
TOKYO, NEWARK, Calif., OBERHAUSEN, Germany and BEIJING, Jan. 20
ACCESS (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 4813), a global
provider of mobile content delivery and Internet access technologies, today
announced the availability of NetFront(TM) v3.3 browser engine, a new version
of the world's most advanced browser for the beyond-PC market which includes
mobile phones, PDAs, set-top boxes, digital television, automobile telematics,
and other Internet devices.
NetFront v3.3 browser engine delivers new features that provide a more
powerful and functional Internet browsing experience. Key elements include
enhanced support for Dynamic HTML, intelligent frame handling, pop-up blocking
and support for Really Simple Syndication (RSS). Additional key features
include Atom Feed, a file format for content distribution via XML used to
access popular Weblogs, support for international domains, encryption and
saving of Web data with a specified URL, and management of Web data and
passwords.
NetFront v3.3 browser engine adds to the comprehensive feature-set already
supported by NetFront browser which includes support for WAP 2.0, WML, HTML
4.01, and cHTML as well as unique technologies like Rapid-Render(TM), an
incremental rendering technology that significantly accelerates the
presentation of Web pages, and Smart-Fit Rendering(TM), a rendering technology
that intelligently renders Web pages to fit the screen width of mobile
devices, eliminating the need for horizontal scrolling. NetFront is also the
only mobile browser in the world to provide integrated support for Adobe(R)
Reader(R) and Adobe's ubiquitous portable document format (PDF).
