JAMDAT Mobile and Atari Extend Licensing Agreement for Key Hasbro Properties
LOS ANGELES-- Jan. 26, 2005 -- Global wireless entertainment publisher JAMDAT Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ:JMDT) and interactive games publisher Atari, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATAR) announced today the extension of the licensing agreement between JAMDAT and Atari, Inc. through 2008. Under the terms of the extension, JAMDAT will publish wireless versions of Atari's interactive games, based on Hasbro's "SCRABBLE", "SCRABBLE BLAST", "YAHTZEE" and "BOGGLE" properties, for mobile phones.
The extension continues the relationship that brought together JAMDAT's wireless entertainment expertise and Hasbro's globally recognized brands. Wireless versions of the popular games were published by JAMDAT for application platforms, including BREW(TM) and JAVA, used by wireless carriers worldwide.
"With this extension, JAMDAT will continue to publish wireless versions of Atari games that have been popular with consumers for generations. Additionally, this extension includes 'SCRABBLE BLAST', a newer rendition of the classic hit," said Mitch Lasky, Chairman and CEO of JAMDAT Mobile Inc.
