Cingular and HP Launch HP iPAQ Pocket PC
ATLANTA, June 6 Cingular Wireless and HP
(NYSE: HPQ; Nasdaq) today introduced the first integrated voice and data HP
iPAQ Pocket PC to be powered by Cingular's nationwide digital wireless
network.
The Cingular-enabled HP iPAQ Pocket PC h6320/6325, which comes with the
Windows Mobile software, incorporates GSM quad-band "world phone" capabilities
to give users a wide-reaching international experience.
The HP iPAQ h6320/6325 features three-way wireless capabilities via
Cingular's nationwide GSM/GPRS network, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth(R) wireless
technology. Providing manageable, more secure access to corporate data, e-
mail, and the Internet,(1)(2) the HP iPAQ h6320/6325 includes an innovative
feature that automatically connects to the fastest available network and
automatically switches to an alternate network if the initial connection is
lost.
The HP iPAQ h6320/6325's international capabilities feature gives mobile
professionals the ability to use its voice and data features within the United
States or abroad. Cingular roaming agreements give customers the ability to
use their device in 160 countries when making phone calls and over 80
countries when accessing data. It is available beginning today online
at http://www.hp.com/go/iPAQs/h6320_h6325 and through various HP and Cingular
sales channels.

Cingular's portfolio of applications certified for Pocket PC devices
includes those from leading software vendors Antenna Software, Epocrates(R),
Extended Systems, and TEPR 2005 award winner PatientKeeper(R).
The HP iPAQ h6320/6325 is part of the HP iPAQ Pocket PC h6300 series,
which features enhancements to wireless security and roaming functionality,
Bluetooth Connection Manager, and audio for Bluetooth and wired headsets to
provide Cingular customers with an excellent end-user experience. It is a
small and sleek handheld with a bright, 3.5-inch color screen and a removable,
snap-on thumb keyboard. The HP iPAQ h6325 includes a built-in VGA camera with
640 x 480 pixel resolution and 8-bit color.
The HP iPAQ h6320/6325 also delivers e-mail and messaging capabilities.
When matched with Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server, e-mail, attachments,
calendar updates and more can be automatically sent and synched with the
device over a Wi-Fi or GPRS network.
The device's integrated Bluetooth technology gives users wireless
connectivity to such peripherals as headsets, printers and desktop or notebook
PCs. The 3.5-inch screen combines transflective display technology with more
than 65,000 brilliant colors, and a high-contrast ratio with rich color
saturation to provide crisper, clearer images and text.

The HP iPAQ h6320/6325 is powered by a Texas Instruments OMAP(TM) 1510
processor and has SDRAM 64-MB, 64-MB ROM memory (55-MB user accessible)
bolstered by up to 20 MB iPAQ File Store featuring non-volatile memory used to
store critical data, databases and other important files. An integrated
Secure Digital (SD) slot supports SD and Multimedia Card memory cards.
The HP iPAQ h6320/6325 comes with Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition
software for Pocket PC, which gives users access to pocket versions of
Outlook, Word, Excel and Internet Explorer. It also supports the Microsoft
Windows .NET Compact Framework so that IT investments already made in .NET
applications can be easily leveraged and extended to mobile users.
