AirClic™ Launches AirClic MP™ for Automating Mobile Processes


NEWTOWN, Pa. – March 8, 2005 – AirClic™, a leading provider of mobile business-process automation solutions, today launched AirClic MP™, the market’s first comprehensive, on-demand platform for accelerating and streamlining remote and mobile processes.

AirClic MP combines sophisticated application design tools; simple and inexpensive data-capture technology; and, powerful back-end software for data aggregation, migration, reporting, and analysis. Using AirClic MP, companies can immediately enable mobile and remote workers to accurately capture and transmit events and transactions in real time; streamline operations to achieve a higher level of accountability and customer service; accelerate the flow of information, people, and materials; and optimize their mobile processes.

The Smart Way to Put Wireless to Work
Already, customers like ADP, The Boston Globe, AC Neilsen and Spring Independent School District use AirClic MP to streamline parcel delivery, track inventory, monitor plant security, and even monitor student whereabouts and safety.

The AirClic MP Platform Components
The AirClic MP platform consists of several technologies that provide an integrated, flexible solution for automating mobile processes:

  • AirClic MP Design—AirClic’s innovative, proprietary design system lets process designers graphically depict processes. An application designer creates a process diagram and, with a single click, that diagram is transformed into a fully functioning AirClic MP application and transmitted to the mobile phone for immediate use.

  • AirClic MP Capture –Equipped with an AirClic MP Capture device, mobile workers can use one device to scan virtually any standard bar code AirClic also supports other types of data capture, including RFID.

  • AirClic MP Reporter -- At the back office, service reps and managers can view the movement and activities of people and assets. As companies aggregate information, they can analyze it for trends and anomalies through a dedicated reporting tool or through a simplified Web interface.

  • AirClic MP Harvest – AirClic MP includes back-end server utilities for Microsoft® Windows®, Linux® and UNIX that can deliver captured data in multiple formats, including CSV/text, Microsoft® Access®, SQL, and Oracle®, and others for export to billing, time, asset-management, auditing, ERP, CRM, SCM and other business systems.

    Pricing and Availability
    The AirClic MP platform is currently available and may be purchased directly from AirClic. Pricing for the AirClic MP application ranges from $30 to $50 per month per user, depending on volume and application. Pricing for the newest scanner, the AC25, begins at $249. Qualified companies can initiate their deployment with AirClic Express™ – a customized two-week field trial that includes handsets and barcode scanners, an application, and data collection and reporting service.
