Velocita Wireless Showcases Latest, Wirelessly-Enabled M2M Solutions at CTIA Event
WOODBRIDGE, NJ, March 10, 2005 – Velocita Wireless, L.P., a leading provider of wireless data connectivity for mission-critical M2M and other applications, will showcase its dedicated, data-only wireless network for HVAC, Lighting, Automated Vehicle Location and Point of Sale applications in booth 5325, the M2M Zone, at the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) show in New Orleans, LA, March 14 -16.
From alarm monitoring to vending applications, lighting & utility control, vehicle tracking and remote engine diagnostics, the potential for wireless M2M solutions is limitless. In fact, Harbor Research estimates there will be 425 million M2M-enabled devices annually networked by 2008. Profile Systems P1800 System
The P1800, from Profile Systems, is a fully integrated, web-based, lighting and HVAC control system that runs wirelessly over Velocita’s performance-proven, wireless data network. It is designed to install at half the cost of a wired system and to eliminate the need for phone lines, hard wiring or daisy chaining between rooftop units and control points. With the P1800, users can program and maintain thermostat set points, monitor freezer/cooler conditions and eliminate manual control of lighting, resulting in maximum energy and cost savings with an average payback period of less than 24 months.
Networkcar’s Networkfleet
Networkcar's fleet management system, Networkfleet, helps fleet managers reduce operating costs and improve productivity by providing remote online access to detailed vehicle information ranging from vehicle location to fuel efficiency trend data. Networkfleet transmits diagnostics and location-based information wirelessly from the vehicle over the Velocita Wireless network and provides a personalized website for fleets to monitor items such as current location, miles per gallon, mileage, emission status and speed with the click of a mouse.
