mBooster 1.0 Launch the World's First J2ME Optimizer
Innaworks announced today the launch of mBooster (www.innaworks.com), an award winning, automated optimizer that reduces the size of mobile games and applications for the J2ME platform. Based on patent pending researches on advanced optimizing compiler technologies, mBooster represents a breakthrough in J2ME development tools.
mBooster has been developed specifically to resolve one of the key barriers facing the developers of J2ME mobile games and applications, that is to reduce size.
Mass consumer handsets such as Nokia Series 40 have very tight memory and processing constraints. It is anticipated that the innovative technology brought to the market through mBooster will play a significant role in helping the mobile game and application to develop richer content and more compelling games.
mBooster also reduces the overall development cycle by automating the optimisation process and allowing software reuse allowing developers to focus on game design and creative development.
Ricky Haggett, Lead Programmer for Morpheme (www.morpheme.co.uk) says, “mBooster optimises java bytecode for size in a way that you can't, or simply wouldn't want to in source code.”
mBooster will also significantly accelerate the ability for mobile game publishers to take existing mobile game to China, where the handsets have even tighter constraints.
Stephen Cheng, CEO of Innaworks is excited about the possibilities and looking forward to assisting growth in the mobile gaming industry.
“When using mBooster we are typically seeing size reduction of 4% to 15% of commercially released mobile games. This immediately translates into significantly reduced costs and development time. Furthermore the additional space created will support more compelling content and drive game sales even higher” Mr Cheng said.
mBooster has been under development in Wellington, New Zealand for 3 years and was recently recognised for it’s innovative contribution to the mobile industry through the national Telecom New Zealand Incubators Award for ‘Innovation of the Year’.
mBooster is sold directly to mobile game developers and publishers and further information is available at www.innaworks.com
