SmartVideo Technologies Joins Microsoft Partner Solutions Center


ATLANTA -- May 24, 2005 -- SmartVideo Technologies, Inc., (OTCBB: SMVD), a leader in the delivery of live television to cell phones and other mobile devices, announced today it has it has become a member of the Microsoft Partner Solutions Center, a state-of-the-art product development program located on Microsoft Corp.'s Redmond, Washington, campus.

By participating in the MPSC, SmartVideo will continue to capitalize on its proprietary next-generation technology to expand its leadership role in the booming business of mobile television.

At the MPSC, SmartVideo will interact with Microsoft developers, designers and marketers, to continue to enhance its innovative mobile television system in association with top technology companies. The facility brings together select companies to develop and test new technologies, employing the latest technical resources and expertise of the software giant.

The MPSC's 21,000 square-foot facility and services include a $100 million network operations center with a fiber optic network powerful enough to house a full cellular broadcasting operation, as well as executive briefings, technology demonstrations, architectural design sessions, proof-of-concept and training.

Poised to capitalize on increased SmartPhone consumer adoption, SmartVideo technology's enables high-resolution mobile TV that offers the fluid motion and fully synched video and audio of broadcast television. SmartVideo's solutions perform even on phones running on the current generation of 2.5G cellular networks, making it the only such service able to be called television in the true sense. Thanks to the successful launch and fast growth of the more robust 3G networks in the U.S., SmartVideo can provide 3G-capable phones with a minimum of 24 frames per second, and virtual broadcast quality of at least 28 frames per second on Wi-Fi-enabled devices.

Already close to 70 million phones in the U.S. are equipped with media players that support the SmartVideo system. Leading network and cable television content providers, such as ABC News, ABC NewsNow, NBC Universal (CNBC, MSNBC and NBC Mobile), The Weather Channel, FOX Sports Network, IFILM, Fashion TV and DIC, as well as two-dozen others, have already signed up with SmartVideo. New providers regularly join SmartVideo's content portfolio.

SmartVideo's participation in the MPSC marks the latest collaboration between Microsoft and SmartVideo. In January, Microsoft began distributing SmartVideo's nearly three-dozen content channels via the Windows Media Mobile Portal: www.windowsmedia.com/mobile.
