Roaming Messenger Rises to Challenge of Secure Mobile Messaging

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., -- Roaming Messenger(r) (OTCBB:RMSG), the provider of a breakthrough mobile messaging platform, today highlights elements of the company's secure messaging capabilities.

Computer security analysts, mobile professionals and IT departments within government and enterprises are calling for a proactive approach to security in the mobile world(1). "There's a staggering amount of risk for companies," said Vicki Warker, vice president of marketing and products as Sprint Nextel Corp's Business Solutions group. "Their networks are exposed."

Given the insecure nature of mobile networks, traditional messaging systems such as e-mail are able to be compromised with relative ease. About 85% of a company's intellectual property can be discerned through its e-mail, said John Dolan, vice president of product management, wireless division, Oracle Corp.

Speaking to the challenges cited, the Company highlights the various levels of security in its mobile messaging platform.

Roaming Messenger delivers application data securely across wired and wireless networks and devices. The link between applications and the platform is secured, messages are encrypted during transmission, and can only be decrypted by the devices to which they were sent. Furthermore, users can be asked to enter a PIN before seeing the content and interacting with the messenger. No other messaging platform delivers these three levels of security in this fashion.

"Our forward thinking approach to delivering end-to-end security has been one of the hallmarks of our technology," said Jon Lei, Roaming Messenger's CEO. "We have some very innovative capabilities on our security roadmap. For example, future versions of the Roaming Messenger Platform will have self-deleting messengers that can be set to expire at a certain time in the future, or by a remote command, in the event of a lost device. We are proud of our innovation and believe it provides us with a strong competitive advantage in the marketplace."
