Ecutel Virtual Networking Solution to be Sold as Open Roaming Powered by Ecutel Technology
Herndon, VA --- Following the successful introduction of its Viatores Mobile IP VPN solution, Ecutel Systems announced today that it will supply its virtual networking functionality to the new HP iPAQ hw6500 series Mobile Messenger and that its solution would be resold as Open Roaming powered by Ecutel technology.
Ecutel's Viatores Mobile IP VPN solution coupled with the new HP iPAQ hw6500 and the HP iPAQ 6300 series handheld products delivers more secure and automated connectivity helping to prevent loss of connection during transfer between IP-based networks. "We selected Ecutel Systems' Viatores Mobile IP VPN solution over other alternatives because our IT security team demanded an IPSec standard-compliant solution that would ensure both network and data security, while, at the same time, ensuring no user intervention needed to maintain a persistent connection over a wireless network," said Brian Petr, IT Consultant for Constellation Energy.
Ecutel's Viatores complies with IETF standards and RFCs -- IPSec for security and Mobile IP for inter-network roaming and session persistence. Because Ecutel's Viatores runs transparently in the background of every session, no end user intervention or modification of existing applications is required.
